New Zealand women see increase in average breast size

Trendy-Lingerie.com — Add New Zealand to the list of countries where more and more women are sporting larger breasts.

A local news station is reporting that nearly half of all New Zealand women are now a D cup.

“A D size 10 years ago was considered wow,” says braologist Carol Rashleigh. “Now it isn’t. It’s very normal, because we see every day DD, E, F, G, up to a J cup, all the time, every day.”

According to New Zealand’s 3 News, Ms Rashleigh has been fitting women in bras for almost 30 years. When she started, the average woman both in New Zealand and in Australia was a 10B. Ten years ago, that was a 12C. Now it’s a 14C.

A similar trend has been reported in the UK, in Australia, the Netherlands, and in the USA.

No one quite knows what’s behind the bigger breasts trend.

Breast specialists says say they’re seeing women mature earlier.

“We’re seeing 10, 11, 12-year-olds, and when we’re getting to 18 and 19, it is quite common to see a size 8 body with a DD or E bust size,” says Ms Rashleigh.

But while some less-endowed women pay lots of money to artificially grow their breasts a cup or two, women with larger breasts sometimes elect to have breast reduction surgery in order to deal with the problems larger boobs bring: such as back aches, ill-fitting clothes and unwanted attention.
