Trendy-Lingerie.com — She was born as Heather Renée Sweet on September 28, 1972, but you know her better as Dita von Teese — an American burlesque artist, model and actress.
Her provocative and elaborate strip-tease shows have earned her the title “Queen of Burlesque.”
She was briefly married to Marilyn Manson, and most recently she has designed a new lingerie range with Wonderbra.

Why are your bras better than other bras?
The reason they’re great is that I’ve designed them. I’m a lingerie aficionado. I consider myself an expert. When I was 15, I worked in a lingerie store which led me to posing for pin-ups and ultimately performing burslesque. So my whole career has revolved around lingerie.
Dita von TeeseHow did you become interested in lingerie?
I worked at this pizza place next to this really great lingerie store. I went to the lingerie store all the time and they finally gave me a job. I was determined to become the best lingerie sales girl I could be, so I studied the history of lingerie and learned how to fit bras properly. I taught myself about the lingerie styles of the 1940s and 1950s. A lot of models who posed for those men’s magazines were also burlesque performers, so it had a snowball effect on me.
What’s the most expensive item of lingerie you own?
The corsets I wear on stage are by a famous corset maker called Mr Pearl. They’re the most expensive items I wear and maybe the most expensive items of lingerie you can buy.
